We have just deployed a major update to Bob! Desk, the result of several weeks of work.
It brings a new design to several key modules, numerous ergonomic improvements, new features, as well as important developments in terms of performance, security and reliability.
The entire interface has been redesigned to offer you a clearer, faster and more consistent experience on a daily basis.
Following your feedback, we have notably worked on the visual identity of Bob! Desk in order to bring more color, visual hierarchy and ease of use, while maintaining a professional and readable interface.
Among the main improvements:
a more modern overall design;
a new library of harmonized components: buttons, menus, forms, tables, dialog boxes;
a redesigned left menu, with clearer navigation and quick access to favorite modules;
a new date picker, simpler and faster to use;
better readability thanks to enhanced contrasts and more consistent icons;
better performance at startup and during navigation.
The creation and save buttons have also been repositioned. They are now located directly in the header of entities, rather than as a floating button at the bottom right. They are thus more visible, more accessible and available without needing to scroll.
Finally, the chat bubble has been replaced by a "Need help" button, clearer and better integrated into the overall design of Bob! Desk.
The schedule in the Maintenance menu has been completely revised to give you simpler access to your data and better visibility over your various checks.
The goal is to allow you to manage your maintenance actions more efficiently, with a smoother and more operational view.
This update also strengthens the security of Bob! Desk.
We have implemented a new fine-grained permissions system, allowing more precise control over authorized actions according to profiles and modules.
The rules related to saving and resetting passwords have also been tightened. Protecting your data remains, as always, a priority.
We have also continued our in-depth work on the stability of the software.
This update notably includes:
a widely extended automated test coverage, with more than 3,000 lines of new tests;
a new infrastructure to detect and fix issues more quickly;
a modernized server architecture, in preparation for upcoming developments to Bob! Desk.
These improvements are not always directly visible, but they strongly contribute to the reliability and quality of your daily experience.
The Analytics module evolves with:
a new filtering system;
customizable indicators.
These new features allow you to analyze your data more easily and build views better suited to your needs.
The Invoices module gains in efficiency with:
multiple selection on invoice lists;
the "select all" action;
the implementation of bulk actions;
new filters and sorting options.
We are also preparing future integrations with approved platforms as part of electronic invoicing.
A new module dedicated to contract management makes its appearance.
It notably allows:
simplified creation and editing of contracts;
tracking of deadlines;
a direct link with the relevant sites, equipment and service providers.
The goal is to centralize important contractual information and facilitate its tracking over time.
The Claims module evolves with new email notifications at each key stage:
creation;
comment;
validation;
closure.
The form is also becoming multilingual, in French and English.
Notifications are now better targeted according to the relevant profiles: managers, users or service providers.
Users can now save their signature directly in their profile.
This signature can be used to sign documents online. Initially, it will apply to quotes, at the time of their validation.
The Warranties feature is now available for service providers.
We have also added a new visibility setting allowing you to define whether a warranty is visible to your service providers or to your customers.
This gives you better control over the confidentiality of shared information.
The Calendar module also benefits from important improvements:
an improved calendar view;
better integration with preventive maintenance and interventions;
new advanced filters.
These developments should allow for a clearer view of activity and better coordination of upcoming actions.
Thank you to all the Bob teams for their work on this update.
And above all, thank you to you, Bob! Desk clients and users, for your feedback. It helps us every day to develop the software in the right direction.
